Chis and Amanda's Wedding...

I don't know what to say about Chris and Amanda that doesn't sound like what I say about a lot of my couples, because to me these two were not like my other couples. Chris and Amanda found me through my website, and it was a hard sale at first, but once they decided on Moments By Kellee as their photographer is was such an amazing experience.

It was such a great day and a beautiful wedding. The morning of their wedding it was raining so hard. I was a little concerned as their wedding time came closer and I ventured up to the temple. As they emerged from the Logan Temple the rain stopped, and we could not have asked for a more pleasant afternoon. Chris and Amanda are the type of couple that a photographer dreams of. They were so amazing to work with and they were willing to do anything and go anywhere. My sister Shellee is a professional photographer in St. George and she was down for the weekend, and I had the pleasure of working with her. The candid photographs that she was able to capture are AMAZING. Chris and Amanda are so expressive and candid by nature. We laughed together and joked about a lot of things, and we had so much fun. Good luck, and thank you for helping me to create hundreds of amazing photographs of your event.

Another Personal Post

So, I know that I have bored you with some of my personal posts, but I have to add one more this evening. I have so many awesome pictures to post, and I have covered some amazing events in the past week, and while I am editing these pictures tonight I am inspired to write something of somewhat a personal matter.

Today was a long work day. From early this morning until late in the afternoon I was in front of my computer. My little boy (Hunter - who is almost 5 years old - birthday coming up this Saturday) came to my side and said so sweetly, "Mom, I have a great idea. How about you stop working and come and watch me slip-n-slide? I will do a good job..."

So, with that I jumped and put swimming suits on the kids and ran out to the yard and set up the slip-n-slide. To my surprise my husband came home from work early, and we sat on the swing and watched the kids play. The phone rang and as I talked to a friend for a moment, my husband disappeared. Much to my surprise he had gone in the house to put on his swimming suit and show the kids how to slide like a "real man." hee hee hee! I grabbed my camera and took some funny shots of him coming down the slide with my little girl. He even sent her down by her self a time or two. You can see by the expression on her face, that she was not thrilled about it.

But, back to the point. Life is so short. It is so much fun to run a business and to be involved in these amazing events and to work with all of the great people that I have the opportunity to work with. HOWEVER, I can see now more than ever that it is so important to enjoy the good times. Please enjoy my good time today. Now that the kids are in bed, it is back to work, and who knows what tomorrow will bring...

Purse Problem...

Ok, so what girl doesn't love a good purse or bag? I have never really been into purses. In fact, I have really been the type to find one that works good for me and use it until it is falling apart. Well, about a year ago I went to New York with my husband and some of my good friends. While we were there we discovered CHINA TOWN! I bought some of the most amazing Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Coach bags. It is like that one experience opened my eyes to a whole new world. Well, rather than loving the knock offs, I have a new bag for all of you active girls out there. I am a full time mom and a full time photographer. Those two occupations both require a lot of on location work hee hee hee.

I have a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend (of a friend) who had one of these cute bags and so I had to find out where to get it. They are sporty, durable, vibrant, and so dang cute... So, check it out for yourself, and for all of you moms out there I can put a couple of diapers and wipes along with all of the rest of my have to have items, and I don't feel like I am packing around my luggage. They have so many compartments and pockets that it is easy to organize and not just a bag of mess...

The brand is Timbuk 2 and the style is the Metro Tote. They run between $29.00 and $75.00 depending on the color you choose and the vendor you buy it from. (I bought 2 discontinued colors and so I paid $29.00 for each of mine.) Oh, and by the way, the wallets that go with them are equally as cool. While you are looking you should check them out. It ranks way up there on my list of HAVE TO HAVE's! Happy Shopping...

Father's Day...

So, I have been taking so many pictures of my kids lately, and I thought it would be fun to put together a fathers day picture for my husband. I took my "new favorite pink chair" down to a fun new location today and my best friend Stacee and I took some pictures of each other. I just want to eat up Stacee's kids. They are so dang cute. My little Hunter is trying to figure out how to put a smile on his face, but Ryen seems to have it down pat. I LOVE The way our pictures turned out! I also took some new fun shots of me for my webpage. I will post those as well. They are funky and cute. Let me know what you think.

Barbie Pink...

Last night I shot bridals/formals of Melissa and Brad. Their wedding is coming up in just a couple of weeks. These two are such a cute couple. Melissa and I really share the same style and vision for her pictures. Her grandma came along, and her and I do not share the same style! Hee hee hee, she was so cute about it. We ended up by some trees to do some traditional shots, because they could not handle my ugly walls, and my big pink chair any more... She was absolutly stunning in her dress, and we had such a great time together. The weather was amazing and it was a night to remember. I just made a steal of a purchase and found 2 beautiful pink high back chairs. This was my first time shooting them and I have a lot of fun things planned for them. I have another setting on Friday as well so check back this weekend... Here is a slideshow of their setting. I can not wait to shoot thier wedding. Melissa and Brad, you two are amazing, and I feel so luck to be working with both of you. Enjoy your pictures...

Bonnie and Joel's Wedding

Bonnie and Joel were married at the beautiful Ogden Temple. It was so much fun to shoot in a new location and the Ogden temple is a hidden treasure. It is so beautiful there and we really could not have asked for a better day than we had. Bonnie was stunning in her dress and they were a lot of fun to work with. SLIDE SHOW

This is Emily and Beau (some of my favorite clients). Beau is Bonnie's brother and these two were married in the Salt Lake Temple in December. It was so much fun to see them again at Bonnies wedding. They are just about the cutest couple that I have ever seen, and Beau is so sweet with her. Beau just might be in the running right behind my husband (of course) for "Husband Of The Year!" hee hee hee...

Scott & Aimee

This weekend my favorite brother-in-law (don't tell all the rest), came down from Rexburg to do engagements with his beautiful fiance Aimee. We had so much fun, and they are such an incredible couple. Amy is so photogenic, and I drug them all over Cache Valley. We didn't finish up until late Saturday night, but had a blast! Good luck with your upcoming wedding plans, and I am so excited to shoot your wedding in August! Click here to see a SLIDE SHOW of their event.
