Ester and Scott's Wedding

Last Saturday I shot a really fun wedding for Ester and Scott. She was such a beautiful bride, and their pictures (engagement, bridal, and wedding) are some of my favorite from the year. It was one of the coldest December days, but we had a blast with these two. Thanks Shellee and Celeste for shooting with me!

This fall one of the big projects that I have been working on is my website. As an element of my website (which by the way should be live TOMORROW) I wanted to do a video. I hired Ben Zurcher to film and produce the video. Let me know what you think!

Have a Merry Christmas!!!

As a mother (and as a wedding photographer) I often project ahead and wonder what things will be like when my children get married...

We went to a really fun event put on by my husbands company (The Sports Academy) called "Breakfast with Santa". It is typically the only chance my kids get to see Santa during the holiday seasons (I am not patient enough for the line at the mall!). My little boy is very shy and these experiences have not always been pleasant (i.e. he HATED SANTA). So, before we went I really tried to prepare my 2 1/2 year old little girl. I told her all about what was going to happen and that Santa is nice and how we set on his lap and tell him what we want for Christmas, bla-bla-bla. Never did I imagine the way things would go down!

So, when we arrive, she sees him and starts yelling HI SANTA, so we rushed in and she hopped up on his lap - NO PROBLEM!!! I take a couple of pictures, and try to listen as Santa talked to her about being a good girl and being nice to her brother. Finally we get to the part where he says, "What do you want for Christmas?" She says loud and clear "I want to have your baby". He started laughing, and I started laughing, and I could not run over there quick enough to say, "Um, she means a baby!" I love Santa! However, I never looked at the big guy like that before! I do not want him as a son-in-law!!! She still tells people that Santa is going to bring her his baby!











I have had a busy, productive, and fun December! I have not been blogging like I normally do, but tis the holiday season!!! I am so excited, and anxious for the new year to come, but looking so forward to the rest of the holidays. I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!! For those of you who did not get a Christmas card from me, her is one to enjoy!







I will be out of the office until January 5, 2009. Wow, 2009! Where does time go.

You know how when you meet some people you just click with them. I totally felt this way about Ashley. We are doing her amazing wedding this summer in Colorado. They came up to Logan for their engagement session and we had a blast...

I had such a great time with these two. They are such a funny couple, and so cute with each other! I LOVE the look and feel of their pictures, and Mindy has the most beautiful eyes. So chocolate brown and big and, oh, a photographers dream!

TAIYA'S HEAD SHOTS

What a cute girl. Remember Taiya? She was a past bride, almost married a year (WOW)! She is the girl that does those amazing up-do's. She needed a head shot, so we took some cute pictures of her. She is absolutly flawless! Seriously, try to find a flaw - good luck!

Oh there is so much to say. Today I was able to go down to SL and shoot with one of my FAVORITE photographers at a wedding. I had a smashing good time and it was fantastic. I will post those pictures next week.

You mentioned a couple of months ago that you would be making BIG changes with your site or offering things that you wouldn't see anywhere else. We've been waiting to see what those changes are and haven't seen you blog about anything since that time. We're all interested to see what you're doing!

Thanks for keeping me on my toes "Anonymous". As promised some great stuff is on its way. It is a busy time of year both personally and professionally and it is taking a bit more time than originally anticipated... I have a new website that is going to knock your socks off. It is still under production, but should be done soon... I will show you a sneak peak of my FAVORITE part of it before Christmas (I PROMISE)! I have a new blog coming at the same time. I am hoping to premier both on January 1st.

My team is gearing up for the Bridal Fair season with some cool new things (and events). I will announce more about that when it gets a bit closer. We are doing things at this bridal fair that we have never done before. It is requiring a LOT more work but has been so fun to work on. Celeste and Megan have been a HUGE part in pulling everything together. We are all working tirelessly to be ready to meet and greet all of you brides out there.

I have been doing some INSANE shoots in the past few weeks. We did a destination bridal that will hopefully hit my blog this week that is going to be something you have absolutely never seen before. OH - I cannot wait!

I just completed a new bride packet that all of my new brides get. Only those who book with me get to see that, but they are beautiful.

Megan and Celeste have been hard at work as well. As you see from the post below, Celeste is specializing in families as part of the MBK team. Megan is also gearing up for some big announcements, but those will come in January as well. They have all been hard at work.

I finish shooting after this weekend until after Christmas. I am thrilled to be able to focus on completing some of these big projects over the next couple of weeks.

I can't do a post without a picture, so here is a fun one. I took this of my mom and dad this week while I was home for Thanksgiving. It is going to be part of a Christmas gift for them. I love the feel of it. They are the best parents in the entire world, and without knowing them it is hard to express how symbolic this is of their life. I cannot wait to see it printed, framed, and hanging on their wall.

HOW BEAUTIFUL!

Many of you have met Celeste. She is the newest member of the Moments By Kellee team. She is doing amazing candid work, but has an absolute passion for Family Photography. She is going to be specializing in family's and is in the middle of training. Last week we went out together and shot this absolutly beautiful family. It is a surprise gift for "dad"! There were literally dozens of shots that were amazing. This is one that Celeste sent me this morning and I had to share it!

Rachelle and Cameron's Wedding

I had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with my parents at their home in Idaho. My mom and I were able to accomplish some major Christmas projects that were so much fun! I ate too much, and had so much fun. I am glad to be back in my office to get caught all of the way up so that I can have a quiet and peaceful Christmas!

I did this wedding a few weeks ago and these two were SOOOO in love. We had so much fun with them and I love their images...
