A christmas wish...

More Red!

Is it just me or has it been FOREVER since my last post. I have been in full hussel and bussel finishing up all of my November sessions and preparing for some time off for the HOLIDAYS!

This is a VERY cute family, and I had so much fun with them. You have got to LOVE the red couch! I am not sick of it yet. To see more from this session click HERE!

Julianne and Adam Take Two...

A special post...

Today I was able to take pictures of my friend Joleen's family. Joleen watches my little girl for me so that I can run this fun business. She is SOOOOOOOO good to my little Ryen.

Joleen's husband Doug is a photographer as well and so it was a pleasure to have them let me do their pictures. It was a soupy overcast day today so we went to one of my favorite spots that is beautiful in any weather.

What a day, what a couple...

Today I had SOOOO much fun with Julianne and Adam. No, I don't think you believe me. I had a SERIOUS good time with them (please reference photos below). Megan and I braved the cold and spent about 2 1/2 hours outside with these two on a beautiful November day!

Julianne is my most traditional bride right now. So, today I really tried to take traditional and put a bit of a twist on it. I really think it is fresh and beautiful! And the candid photos are my favorite. Megan, you did an OUTSTANDING job on this one (WOW WOW WOW WOW - you need a raise)

A look back...

So, today it snowed here in Logan. I felt for a moment that we lived in a winter wonder-land, and then I remembered that I had to shoot tomorrow (Hee Hee Hee). For those of you that live in a harsh climate you know what I mean when I say that sometimes you have to "brave the elements".

As I sat in my office and watched the beautiful snow fall it took me back to all of my fun and beautiful winter weddings last year. I thought it would be fitting to tell you about one in particular.

Almost a year ago now I started this blog. The very first entry on there was a wedding from December 31, 2006. I met this beautiful bride Emily at one of the bridal fairs I did that year. She and her mom were so spunky and cute! I instantly fell in love with them. They were married on a COLD day in December. Emily wore a short sleeve dress and I thought she was going to get hypothermia by the time we finished with her. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple at 3:00 pm and so this was mostly a night shoot. FUN!!!! Myself, and my sister Shellee (who is a professional photographer in St. George Utah), and her Husband Jason (who does all of the candid photography for her company) shot with me that day. I was actually in Salt Lake that night at a family party of my own, and it was fun to have my family shoot with me in this "family business" we have created.

I have such a great relationship with these two. We did an album for them and for Emily's mom and they have been so gracious and lovely to work with. As their anniversary approaches I wanted to give them two gifts. First, because Emily and Beau were my first entry on my blog they did not get a web video. So below you will see a link to a video of their wedding set to "their song". Second, (it's a secret)! Although I can't tell you what it is - I know they will LOVE IT! So, Emily, give me a call and I will have a box ready for you to put under your Christmas Tree if you promise not to open it until Christmas morning.

The Palmer Family

Tonight I was so excited to photograph the Palmer family. Erin is a sister of Becca, and if you look up, Becca and Steve are on the right! They have the cutest little family, and despite the "cooler" temps tonight we had a fantastic time together.
