I did these formals last night and they are in a hurry to see them, so I did a quick edit before I head out of town for the weekend.
SLIDE SHOW
Thanks to the Riter Mansion for letting us shoot there!
I love the vintage feel to these next two!
She has the most amazing eyes, and look at those lashes!
I thought it might be fun to show a picture with no flare and with flare.
Oh I think it adds so much artistic value and an amazing ambiance!
Let me know what you think!

Dang, we're HOT! You are brilliant. My favorite is the black and white one that looks like a diamond advertisement.
These are so Beautiful! WoW! Always a treat! So would you ever share how you get these Sun Flares? You are the bomb at them! If not I totally understand!
Vanessa,
I am always willing to share, and flattered that you would ask. So, I have a couple of things I do to get a good sun flare. I try to get the light away from my subject and right in the corner of the frame. You can do that of course by choosing your angle.
I also like to have my aperture high. The higher the aperture the more direct the flare (all of these were taken on 200 ISO with an aperture no less than 8, but some of these are up around 16.
Once you get the lighting the way you like it, you have to angel your camera just right so that you don't get flare lines across faces and other important points in the picture. I don't know if that last part makes sense. If not, just go out and get the light in your lens and slightly move it around and you will see what I mean. The flare moves.
In post production I bump my curves in light room and add an antique tone in TRA to give it more of a sunset feel.
There are a lot of ways to do things, but that is what works for me to get good flare.

Kellee,
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog (although it's been a while ago), I've meant to stop by and say thanks.
Also, thanks for the tips on getting the flare. Although I've tried, it just never turns out how I'd like. I guess practice makes perfect!
These pictures are beautiful.

Thank you so much! I will be trying this for sure! I seriously appreciate you sharing your talent. I know you are busy...so Thanks :)
Wow, the last two are REALLY pretty! And I love the second one in the set too. Nice work:)
Thank you so much for your comment! I love hearing from other photographers! I LOVE the lighting and composition on ALL of these, but esp the first two! This session looks like it came right out of a magazine!!! I'll be bookmarking your blog (and stalking) for sure! =)
Kellee...these are gorgeous! I was trying to decide which one was my fav so I could right it on here, but I love them all! I love the feel of them...soft, and romantic. Way to go Oralia! You are beautiful, and so photogenic!
I was talking with my friend Vanessa and we were saying how beautiful and amazing your work is! I love looking at your blog! Love your office by the way. And thanks for the tip on sun flares! I am going to start working on that one! Did you learn how to shoot on your own or did you go to school? What's your background if you don't mind sharing!
Sherry - Stalkers are always welcome here!!! Don't you worry, I added you to my list and will be stalking as well...
Karen - you and Vanessa are so sweet! I would love to meet you both. As for your questions, I have a bachelors degree in Business Marketing which has helped me immensely in running my business. I am self taught with my photography, however, some great mentors helped me get started. I am always willing to help anyone and share anything because I believe it is good for our industry to help others succeed as well! I would not be where I am today without great influences and other photographers who were willing to share ideas and techniques. I have so much to learn and I work really hard at increasing my skills all of the time. However, if there is something that I know that can help you - I love to share!
I really want to do a video blog entry every week and need some good topics, so if you want to hear me explain or talk about something just give me a topic and I will do it!
Thanks for the questions and for the blog comments!
Loving this session Kellee, what a HOT HOT HOT couple. Such a unique look.
Ok you are one of the nicest photographers I have ever talked to ! If you ever consider doing mentoring or classes ill be signing up first!
Wow, what an awesome session. Love it, love it.
OH WOW lady:) I love them all...those last few outside are perfect in every way! good work!! I need to see you soon
Oh and I have a question or maybe you can do a video on it. Do you shoot with a flash hooked on your camera? If so when is a good time to use one and why? I've noticed some photographers using them in the day and I'm wondering what you think about them? What situations are they helpful in? Thanks so much!
Kellee,
You totally nailed this shoot! I love it! Love the sun flare as always!
